Abstract
The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of aerobic exercise on the hemodynamic predictors of the hypertensive patients. The subjects of this study were 15 women hypertensive patients. The exercise program was composed of warming up and cooling down with stretching for 10 minutes respectively and treadmill exercise and bicycle exercise for 40 minutes. The period of exercise program was 12 weeks, 5 times per week, 60 minutes per 1 time. The dependent variables were systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure, pulse pressure, HR, double product. The results were as follows; The variables (SBP, DBP, pulse pressure) of 4 weeks, 8 weeks, 12 weeks were significantly decreased than those of pre-treatment. The body weight, the artery blood pressure of 8 weeks, 12 weeks were ignificantly decreased than those of pre-treatment. Consequently, the findings of the current study indicate that aerobic exercise training may have positive effects on hemodynamic predictors in hypertensive patients. Thus, we believe that the aerobic exercise was a desirable approach method to prevent and care the hypertensive patients.
